Lumineers

If you desire to have a beautiful transformation of your teeth without a long wait, try our Lumineers at our Maple Grove office and enjoy the attractive new smile.

Lumineers – What are these?

Lumineers are ultra-thin shaped porcelain that is bonded to your tooth. The highly translucent Lumineers will conceal your stained, cracked, chipped, crocked, and uneven teeth and will make them permanently white. The fact that Lumineers are very thin allows us to minimize the preparation of the teeth. Since there is minimal preparation, there is often little to no discomfort in this procedure.

Dental visits for Lumineers

Just in two visits, you can have your beautiful smile fixed. On your first visit, our expert dentist will take the impression of your upper and lower teeth and will send it to an authentic lab for preparation. Pictures and other necessary records will be sent along to get a perfect fit. The preparation would need up to two weeks. On your second visit, the dentist will check if the Lumineers fit your teeth. After making minor adjustments to your teeth, the dentist will bond Lumineers again to your teeth. The dentist will also test the Lumineers by checking your bite on them to ensure that the Lumineers may not come off during daily use.

Life of Lumineers

With Lumineers, your perfect smile will last for over 20 years, and since there is no grinding of natural teeth Lumineers are absolutely reversible. Having Lumineers placed, you don’t need to worry about being selective in food to eat. However, since they are not natural, you need to visit your dentist every six months for a follow-up. With proper dental care, you can increase the life of Lumineers, but it should be remembered that these will need replacement. Our expert will be able to advise you when it will be time to replace the Lumineers.

Why Lumineers?

Lumineers are suitable when you want to change the color of your teeth and require only a minor alteration to your teeth. However, if you need a permanent solution, Veneers will be the best option. Lumineers differ from Veneers in terms of their preparation time and adjustment to teeth. It is hassle-free as its application does not require enamel removal or grinding of teeth. Nevertheless, as compared to Veneers, Lumineers come off easily with regular use and have to be reapplied if needed. The decision to choose between a Veneer and Lumineers lie with a dentist. The dentist will examine your teeth and suggest what suits your teeth best.

So Give us a call today to see if Lumineers will work for your smile!
